APEDA facilitated a one-tonne consignment of popped makhana from Purnea for export to Greece, the Commerce Ministry reported on 2 October. The shipment was sourced from Bihar and arranged through exporters.
The ministry said the route would run from Mundra Port to Piraeus. It presented the consignment as an effort to expand overseas market access for Bihar’s makhana producers, rather than a guarantee of returns for all farmers.
