The BRICS Parliamentary Forum concluded in New Delhi on 27 October with a joint declaration, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said. Delegations backed dialogue, peaceful dispute resolution and reform of international institutions.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla met a Russian parliamentary delegation on 25 October ahead of the BRICS Parliamentary Forum. According to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, discussions covered parliamentary exchanges, cooperation in international institutions and counter-terrorism.
A Law Commission conference in New Delhi examined national and state perspectives.
The leaders called for closer political and institutional exchanges.
