The Education Ministry extended applications for the 2026–27 National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme to 31 October, according to its 1 October announcement. Eligible students apply through the National Scholarship Portal after completing One-Time Registration.
The revised schedule sets institute verification for 15 November and district verification for 30 November. The scheme provides ₹12,000 annually to eligible students, subject to its rules. Applicants should confirm eligibility and current instructions on the official portal before submitting.
