The Environment Ministry said the process for releasing two captive-bred Great Indian Bustards was initiated on 3 October at Desert National Park, Jaisalmer. Its announcement scheduled the release for the next day.
The programme builds on conservation breeding and development of rewilding facilities. This report covers the officially announced preparation, without claiming a later survival result or final conservation outcome that the source did not establish.
