C-DOT signed an agreement with IIT BHU, Varanasi, to establish its sixth Centre of Excellence, the Communications Ministry announced on 23 October. The collaboration will support research and capacity building in emerging communication technologies.
The planned focus includes 5G Advanced, 6G, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and cybersecurity. The announcement concerns a research partnership, rather than a completed commercial network rollout.
