India’s Culture Ministry announced an agreement with France’s national library to preserve and digitise Indian-origin manuscripts. The agreement was signed in Paris on 26 October; the ministry reported it on 27 October.

The framework covers digitisation, repository sharing, conservation, technology exchange and research. It also envisages training and scholarly exchanges. This is a cooperation framework, rather than confirmation that the collections are already available online.
