A BHASHINI Konkani large language model was launched during the Goa AI Tech Conclave in Panaji, according to a MeitY release dated 23 October. The event took place on 22–23 October.
BHASHINI demonstrated language technologies including live speech translation. The release highlighted the need for quality language data and human validation, and described a proposed Data Daan pilot involving educational institutions, language specialists and Konkani-speaking communities.
