Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on 27 October, according to the PMO.
He called for stronger research and domestic capabilities in critical technologies. He also urged scientists to test AI-generated answers and use the time saved for experiments and independent thinking. These remarks set out priorities rather than announcing a new entitlement.
