The report also noted that ITBP Director General Shatrujeet Kapur had recently acknowledged face-offs at several Arunachal locations were ongoing. The Ministry of External Affairs has said the situation can be disturbed when Chinese forces diverge from established patrolling patterns. The statements are attributed to the named officials and do not represent an independent assessment of border conditions.
