Next-generation patrol vessel Srishti launched at Goa Shipyard

The next-generation offshore patrol vessel Srishti, designated Yard 1283, was launched at Goa Shipyard on 27 October, according to the Defence Ministry.

The ministry said vessels in this class are intended for surveillance, search and rescue, offshore-asset protection and humanitarian missions. The launch is a shipbuilding milestone; the release does not say the vessel has been commissioned into operational service.
