A team led by CAQM chairperson Rajesh Verma reviewed paddy-stubble management in Amritsar and Tarn Taran on 24 October, the Environment Ministry said. The review covered facilities for managing residue both in fields and through off-site use.
The commission expressed concern about increased fire incidents. It asked district administrations to coordinate with farmers, machinery providers and Custom Hiring Centres so equipment reaches farms on time.
