President Droupadi Murmu attended a public programme for Bastar Dussehra in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, on 23 October, according to the President’s Secretariat. She described community participation as an important part of the festival.
Murmu urged people to learn from tribal communities’ relationship with nature. The official account also said she met local Manjhi and Chalki representatives and visited a Rangoli and Dussehra exhibition.
