CARA held its Eastern Zone consultation in Ranchi on 27 October with Jharkhand authorities. According to the Women and Child Development Ministry, about 175 stakeholders from around 115 districts took part.
The workshop discussed family-based care, coordination between agencies and barriers to adoption for children with special needs. It was a regional policy discussion; the release does not identify individual children or offer private adoption arrangements.
